Spanish interest emerging in Iron

adrian12Adrian – who returned to first team action against Everton after 22 games on the sidelines is set to became a target for Spanish clubs this summer.

The Hammers triggered an option to tie down the Spanish stopper for another 12 months in March and will discuss a new deal with the 30 year old at the end of the season.

However, an offer of around £5 million could tempt the Irons who will be looking for a top keeper once the transfer window reopens.

Espanyol or Athletic Bilbao are reported to be keen and with the Hammers determined to strengthen, the stopper could be tempted to move back to his homeland.

He has become frustrated after slipping down the pecking order behind Darren Randolph after four years as first choice at West Ham.

And he was particularly concerned that it happened at the time he had been chosen as third keeper in the Spain international squad.

  1. Well one needs to go and we need to get in a big name keeper. I’d prefer it to be Randolph that goes but fear it will be Adrian.
