Spurs try to derail Obiang deal

|

Pedro-Obiang-Sampdoria_2835036 (1)According to Tuttusport, Spurs have registered late interest in signing Sampdoria midfielder Pedro Obiang despite reports of a deal agreed in principle with West Ham.  It is claimed Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino wants to bring a more physical aspect to the Spurs midfield and he is said to see Obiang as a good fit to achieve this.

West Ham and Sampodia are said to have agreed a fee at 7.5 million Euros (£5.4m) plus performance related add ons which could take the fee to £7m. With the player yet to agree personal terms anything could happen and his head could yet be turned by late Spurs interest. The Spanish midfielder has made 60 appearances for Sampdoria since 2010 scoring just one goal.  Obiang was capped for Spain at youth levels.

Ahaha What is this? The Italian day? Lol
    Good night guys.

  • canchaz says:

So, when it comes to Spurs, should we be surprised. After all, they’ve done it enough times before

  • Ironworker says:

Homeless Spuds must be very unhappy we have a new stadium ?

  • PennsylvaniaHammer says:

Is it just me or does this really ram home the issue of homegrown players not being able to break through. This guy has only played about 10-15 games a season for past few years and has scored ONE goal. Capped at youth level. It’s hardly compelling stuff is it?

Are we really getting into a scrap with the Spuds over such mediocrity?

  • hammermolder says:

Is it just me,but 60 appearances and only one goal !!

  • Dainon17 says:

At the start of each window we should say we are about to sign 5 (crap) players…. let the spuds dive in an poach them as usual THEN get on with signing our actual targets, actually maybe the club have done just that !!

  • bubs says:

I agree if Hugh writes an article stating we are desperate for Nolan,Jarvis,O,Brien and Demel to sign new contracts the Spuds will offer loads of money for them and we can clear the books,
If anyone wants to sign for them let them do it,
No one is irreplaceable,he can sign for them and sit on my he bench until he gets signed by
Hull with all the other Spud rejects,
Dawson and Hudlestone turned us down Diamie left because he wanted to play for a better team look how that worked out for them

  • Twinkle Toes Nolan says:

Spuds are all twisted up atm with us,still sulking about the OS.But they normally try to sabotage our transfers.Maybe we should take it as a compliment we are now trying to compete for the same signings as them.

  • bubs says:

hammermolder don’t worry Molan makes the team every week and he has only scoredb1 goal all season and not in Italy where it’s much harder to score,
Why don’t we ( WHU )release transfer news when it’s done and dusted,
Every time we let the world know we are interested in a player within a week that player signs for someone else,
I know people will say it’s the agents trying to drum up trade and put the price up,
What it needs is an secrecy clause in discussions that once we have contact and start negotiations that if there is a leak we pull out of negotiations
Just my opinion ( not rabid had me jabs and arse does not itch )
