Squad set to return at beginning of July

|

Senior West Ham squad members not involved in the Euros finals are due to report back to Rush Green at the beginning of July for testing and fitness tests.

After a couple of days of fitness and COVID testing, they will fly to Scotland to start a fullĀ  summer training camp.

Like last summer they will stay in one of St Andrews top hotels training in the nearby University training pitches as well as using the beaches for fitness training.

They will fly home and be given a couple of days off with their families before they start their pre-season fixture campaign.

That starts with a doubleheader with half the squad facing Northampton while the other half face Leyton Orient on Tuesday 13th July.

Tomas Soucek, Fabianski, Yarmomlneko, Vladimir Coufal and Delcan Rice are likely to join the squad later depending on how well their national teams do in the Euro 2020 competition. Each player is contractually entitled to a certain number of days holiday over the summer period.
