Steidten eyes Bundesliga ace for West Ham

Serhou Guirassy is a 27-year-old striker from Stuttgart, who has been setting the Bundesliga on fire this season.

Guirassy has been in stunning form, already netting an impressive 10 goals in just 5 Bundesliga games. That kind of performance has naturally caught the eye of Premier League clubs, with both West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur keen on acquiring his talents.

Steidten eyes Bundesliga ace: Serhou Guirassy & Konstantinos Mavropanos could be reunited at West Ham

The striker’s current deal comes with an intriguing £17.3 million release clause, making him an attractive prospect for these English clubs. Interestingly, he’s been outscoring none other than Harry Kane in the Bundesliga, a testament to his scoring prowess.

Brighton had a chance to sign Guirassy a couple of years ago. Now it’s Fulham and West Ham who are showing strong interest. West Ham, in particular, is looking to bolster their striking options in the upcoming January window.

However, there are questions around Michail Antonio’s consistent usage as the main forward by David Moyes, with Divin Mubama and Danny Ings yet to make a significant impact.

It’s going to be interesting to see how this transfer saga unfolds. Especially with West Ham’s director of football, Tim Steidten, well aware of Guirassy’s abilities.

Interestingly, West Ham have already done business with Stuttgart this season. Steidten flew to Germany during the last transfer window to complete the signing of Greek international Konstantinos Mavropanos.

The giant central defender is expected to start Thursday evenings Europa League game against SC Freiburg. Manager David Moyes may be keen to utilize both Steidten and Mavropanos’s knowledge of German football to gain an insight into our opponents ahead of the game.
