Stuff the World Cup – bring on the first Irons friendly

|

Game on!

We have made the best managerial signing since the Premier League was formed and one which will see us playing high intensity attacking football under a boss who loves to entertain.

But he’s also a winner as he has shown throughout his career and the very idea that a guy who has managed both Manchester City and Real Madrid takes a bit of absorbing for us Hammers fans.

Not only that but he’s done it at the likes of Valencia and cash-strapped Malaga whom he took into the Champions League. It’s fine Newcastle you can keep your Rafa!

After the horrors of the last couple of years this appointment is more than perfect – it’s a totally magnificent way for us all to go into the summer.

As one ClaretandHugh Facebook Group member commented this morning: “Stuff the World Cup…bring on the first Hammers friendly.

Not many of the sceptics and cynics expected David Sullivan to get this one across the line and credit where it’s due to the man – my hat is off!

Credit too to the fans who made their feelings so clear last season. They made the board listen as DS admitted in his first statement on the appointment this morning.

Last season  should now be assigned to the dustbin of history – a line well and truly drawn under everything that went on as we unite again behind the club, manager and team.

This is a manager I truly believe can bring us  trophies and what he does or doesn’t have as a transfer kitty should almost be an irrelevancy.

He wouldn’t be here if he didn’t think he could work with the people around him and with the money available so let’s all give the moaning a rest and get behind the team we love.

Great news and the most excited I’ve been in ages for a new season to start!
I think it’d be fair to say a big thanks to Moyes for keeping us in the prem, it wasn’t pretty but he did the job and I’m not sure we’d have got this fella if we were in the Championship.

Maybe the best managerial signing since the days of Greenwood and Lyall..
Look what the guy achieved with Villareal and Maalaga in Spain, on a shoe-string budget-unbelievable.
Anyone who endorses attacking football and the use of the 4-3-3 formation is bound to send the West Ham fans into ecstasy (the non-ingestable type)

    Hear hear. So excited!

So yesterday Hugh it was the ‘best appointment I can remember in our history but obviously this is West Ham and there has to be something to moan and march about. If he doesn’t do what he did at City in his first season – win the league and league cup I’m gonna march’ and ‘I’m staging a march about constant moaning – sounds fair to me’.
Yet today it’s ‘Credit too to the fans who made their feelings so clear last season. They made the board listen as DS admitted in his first statement on the appointment this morning’. Hhmmm?!?
On Pellegrinis appointment I’m more optimistic than excited, although that may well change when/if QUALITY new signings arrive.

    • Perhaps you should go on a march against my inconsistencies. You seem to misunderstand as ever that there is a limit on what’s acceptable. In my view – although the last thing in the world I would expect would be for you to do is agree – a lot of last year went over the line imo. Sorry my sense of humour doesn’t match your necessity to point out my minute by minute reaction. There we are
