West Ham supremo David Sullivan did not speak to Will Still – the man named by many as the next Irons boss when the Stade Reims manager visited the London Stadium last weekend for the match against Nottingham Forest. Rumours have been flying around social media that the two were seen talking near the directors box after the game. NOT TRUE! writes Hughie Southon
In an exclusive interview with Claret and Hugh, Sullivan said that this – like so much – was just mischievous nonsense which simply served to unsettle things inside the club.
The speculation is now dying on a possible David Moyes departure from the club but even if it were not, Sullivan made it clear Still would not be the club’s choice telling us in answer to the question: ” No I didn’t speak with him. I admire what he’s done, but too much of a gamble. In a few years never say never. I think he came as he’s a genuine supporter. I have never spoken to him. These are just mischievous reports that unsettle the club and totally made up.”
Stade Reims boss Still has been regularly lined to the Hammers on a number of websites after taking the French club to fifth place in their league but at 31 is probably far too young to take lover a Premier League club at this time. And Sullivan has made it clear anyway that David Moyes will be remaining in place for some time to come as it is far too early to consider a replacement
So there it is, David Sullivan has told C&H that your incessant campaign against David Moyes is unsettling our club. And suddenly no more stories on the topic. Bliss!
Dirk read the story and srop writing prejudicial rubbish, If u don’t like us leave or if you would prefer us to send you claret and blue glasses err second thoughts forget it LOL
