Euro Giants Paris St German admire from afar both of West Ham United’s top two talents but are resigned to being out of the running for Mateus Fernandes, it is claimed in a new article.

However the French reigning champions have not given up hope of luring Crysenico Summerville to their ranks and have some creative solutions afoot in order to make a deal appealing to West Ham.

At least, that is the claim made by PSG Inside-Actu, syndicated by Yahoo sports today.

There’s a pretty bizarre claim made that the French side are willing to offer up an out-of-favour winger in exchange for West Ham’s Flying Dutchman:

“PSG Could Swap Winger for West Ham’s Crysencio Summerville”

According to information from PSG Inside-Actu, the idea of a swap with West Ham to bring in players desired by the capital club is in the air. Indeed, the Hammers, relegated to the Championship, are aiming for immediate promotion and have the financial means to make big offers.

For Ibrahim Mbaye, this would guarantee playing time and the prospect of a big transfer, even if it means spending at least one season in the English second division.”

Ibrahim Mbaye: Out of favour at PSG but surely unlikely to get excited about a move to second tier football.

Makes no sense from West Ham’s point of view, frankly. How often these ‘player swap’ stories are written and how infrequently they come together.

The prospect of West Ham. drafting in a reluctant winger from the French champions to the second tier of English football in exchange for one of their brightest young wingers seems pretty far-fetched.

Whilst the story may have no ‘legs’ it does help the transfer noise around their asset – and may contribute toward pushing Summerville’s final sale price higher and higher, so – the more the merrier at this stage of the window. One of those stories to consign to the ‘circular file’ I suspect.

Summerville is doing his best at the summer World Cup to drum up interest from plenty of Premier League sides without West Ham needing to consider a cobbled-together deal with a French top-tier player who’d likely be a pretty reluctant signing.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.
