West Ham supporters are unconvinced that Manuel Pellegrini can finish in the top nine positions thus beating last season’s tenth place Premier League finish.
A Claret and Hugh poll of almost 1,000 readers has revealed that almost 52% believe the manager will not finish in the top nine places in the Premier League table with the remaining 48% believing the manager can still do it.
With nine games played West Ham have won just three games against a poor Manchester United, Norwich City and Watford with losses against Manchester City, Crystal Palace and Everton while we have drawn three games against Brighton, Bournemouth and Villa.
Two losses on the bounce which were winnable games on paper have dented supporters confidence for the season and the majority are now unsure whether we can better last season’s effort. With a quarter of the season gone the Hammers need to kick into a new gear against an inform Sheffield United if we are going to restore any faith.
