Thank God the Hammers have a real hero right now

|

In times of trouble it’s handy to have a hero!

In times of trouble it matters to have at least one or two guys who will continue to give what we as supporters demand – blood, sweat and tears.

In times of trouble you can disregard the fancy dan players and instead start relying on the Michail Antonios and Mark Nobles of the world.

And at this moment in time Michail is what West Ham United is all about. Pray the man stays fit because he represents all that’s best about this club.

However, it’s interesting that at a time when he is making it clear that the lads were determined to show the manager still has their backing and the dressing room is far from lost, Nobes was making another more obscure point.

He had – without naming anybody – that maybe it was important to play a less expansive game at football at times.

He added however: “There is no rift in our dressing room. Of course, a few wins would help the mood but the reality is that our dressing room morale is still really good.”

I don’t believe there is a rift. Maybe some get into that sort of conspiracy theory but I have never accepted that players sit in the dressing room thinking:’ I’m not gonna try today because I don’t rate the manager.’

LEAST OF ALL MICHAIL ANTONIO!

I’m glad that whatever may or may not be going on in the dressing room that Michail has said what he’s said. He’s a guy I would believe and trust and whatever may or may not happen in the future he is a Hammers hero right now!
