The Moyes verdict

|

Manager David Moyes admitted the team could find no answer to the Adama Traore issue but made it cleared he was unhappy we didn’t deal with the cross for the opener.

The manager made a good point in claiming that the winner could not have changed the game so dramatically had that been dealt with adding that if you can’t deal with the player tou have to deal with the cross.

That would usually be acceptable but that cross was perfect.

His involvement in the second goal whilst not as critical was important but he started the approach work that allowed the move to end in a goal,

Speaking to reporters afterwards Moyes  made it clear that we had done well for a long time but “then came Traore.”

Having made it clear the cross for the first goal should have been dealt with he turned to the Hammers plus points and said that Declan had produced a  very good performance at central defence.

He said: “He really did very well and has quality on the ball of course and we nissed that from midfield but he did really well.

Admitting that we were short up front he declared that’s why there had been so few chances but had been happy with the way we played for a long time.

He said: “The players stuck at it and we have tough games to come but then games to which we may be better suited.”

Desperately need Ogbonna back to release Rice into midfield again and Haller up front to play alongside Bowen. Its what i am now clinging to as our saving grace in the remaining games.

They need to do a lot better or we will be playing in the championship with a empty stadium or at best when the fan’s are back half empty. They didn’t look like they wanted it.

Get rid of Moyes to stand a chance of staying up now before it’s too late, what a manager ……….

I have just read on another website that moyes didn’t know Brighton had beaten arsenal before the game . I believe his words. Should this be true can you please tell me why he is still employed by west ham united football club ?

Moyes is a joke and today just proved it again. He remains tactically clueless and negative. We will get relegated this season if we continue being negative. The three decisions that baffled me today in his team selection were number 1 he move Rice to CB so as to not have to drop Noble, weak and timid. He decided to play with 1 striker if you want to call Antonio a striker and finally his decision not to play a strong left full when he knew Traore. He had 3 months to prepare for this game, tactically clueless. Then during the game he takes off Anderson when Bowen had done nothing in the game. He leaves Noble on, this is the reason we lost the game, he brings on that donkey Fredericks and finally going 1 down he does not bring on either Silva and Ajeti. He brings on lanzini and then moves him out to the wing, I am sick and tired at looking at this and the people to blame are the owners. Moyes has to be gone at the end of season as the fans have had enough of him. I would get rid of him now and bring in Di Canio for the last 8 games.

after all that logic in your comment and then “bring in Di Canio”????🤔 the man is a fool. great footballer only. nothing else 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • Del PE. says:

    Thank goodness Traore didn’t start, let’s be brutally honest…. 3,4,5 perhaps…
