There can only be one result today!

|

Another big days dawns in Hammers history and the simple fact is that Bournemouth have to be beaten. No ifs, no buts – a draw is unacceptable and I have little doubt the new manager knows it.

I’ve said several times before he is not my type of manager but frankly I don’t care how we win today (and how many times have we said that in the past).

The row surrounding Moyes rumbles on and with Pellegrini gone the heat has been turned on the owners – that was as predictable as New Year’s Day following New Year’s Eve.

For now, however, it’s Bournemouth and nothing but Bournemouth. We need an early managerial bounce unlike last time around when we went to Watford under Moyes and were beaten 2-0.

He has everybody fit, has talked a good game and apparently looked at a bunch of videos. There are a squad of players who need to impress and fast although, and I say this very quietly, they need to care.

Has he had long enough with the players? Don’t care – he has to find a way to win and I will be having a fiver on a cheeky 2-0.

The board have proved again and again they couldn’t care less what the fans think, I think the fans need to again show the board there fury like they did against Burnley
Who or what will make them stop? Absolutely nothing.
Sell Diop, Sell Rice.. Have an idiot like Moyes put up with it and be told he has nothing to spend as the owners sold the players in the last minute of the transfer window.

We will be linked with every man and his dog… Don’t go to bed…. what difference does it make??
    Totally over it

    Moyes being back is embarrassing

If they invented a time machine I would go back to 1977 and take up golf

    • Shameful comments – the reality is you are the embarrassment

What a ludicrous comment. No wonder the confidence is low around the club with people like you spouting this rubbish. As i write this we are in the bottom 3 as Villa are 2 up at Burnley. No matter how unhappy we are about things (it comes with being a West Ham fan) we get behind the new manager and his team.Moyes is no idiot he is a very experienced manager or do you want another Pellegrini who got us in this mess in the 1st place?.

I quite agree it’s a game we need to win but let’s not be too harsh if the result doesn’t go our way, he’s had just two days with the players. The squad is certainly better than for his previous tenure so he should be able to get them up a level and away from the languid Pellegrini mindset.

says everybody fit , does that include jack, and antonio, just read antonio is a doubt

Moyes isn’t everyone’s cup of tea , I accept that . But regardless of likes or dislikes we are desperate for three points today . 352 is the right way to go and a lot will depend on the team spirit and willingness to put in a shift if the New Manager Bounce is going to have an affect .
A definite six pointer we dare not lose .

OZ hammer your comment is shocking you call yourself a fan, should ashamed of yourself inciting hatred and wanting hostility again the owners. As fans we need to support the team and if you can’t do that just don’t turn up.

The owners are dire, there’s no doubt about that. But that’s no reason not to get behind Moyes and the team. Sullivan and Gold are not going anywhere until and unless someone makes them an offer that they can’t refuse. That’s not going to happen if the team is a PL basket case, or in the Championship. There is nobody out there better than Moyes that West Ham could realistically get, whatever anyone says. And it’s nonsense to bemoan the club’s lack of ambition, but at the same time to bemoan having left Upton Park for a stadium that can take 54,000 season ticket holders. I agree that some — and it is only a minority — but some supporters are part of the problem.

There is absolutely no inconsistency in getting behind Moyes – regardless of whether you wanted him or not – and at the same time making it clear you despise our Board for the lies and deception that were relentlessly trotted out to persuade us into that God awful athletics stadium.

I would never seek to undermine the team. I didn’t like the crowd booing Roberto for example, or ironically cheering when he caught the ball. We’re in the bottom three as we speak, and the team need support. I’m pretty sure they’ll get it.

However, regardless of the above and the fact that the Board are going nowhere, there is no reason not to let them know how much a large number of us hate what they have done to the club.It is not in the nature of a fanbase such as ours to meekly take things lying down, and nor should we. Support the team, hate the Board.

    • I think that’s well known by the board – as it is by every board when things go wrong and fans become reactionary. I’ve always believed in changing the things I can rather than worrying about what I can’t. I understand others will continue with pointless, frustrated anger however – twas ever thus. and up to them

      • simon says:

i think it’s different this time Hugh. It’s not simply dissatisfaction at results, how could it be given our history? The fact is that we’ve achieved nothing, on the face of it, by moving to a stadium that for many simply ruins the experience of watching football. That move seems more and more to be about the ultimate enrichment of the Board rather than the progression of the club. Anger at this isn’t pointless; I respect your position but the counter argument is that it’s weak to acknowledge that you’ve been had over, and simply shrug your shoulders and move on because you can’t change anything.
As a minimum I want them to find the ownership experience so deeply unpleasant that they are inclined to sell up as soon as the clawback provisions end in 2023. Perhaps not to persist with Sullivans ludicrous valuation of the club, just take a decent profit and go.
Anyway, we need three points today COYI.

        • They can do what they like as far as I’m concerned. If they want the owners out and form a cooperative to run it themselves or bring in Arab owners so be it. There are other much bigger issues in my world mate. There is no enrichment of the board – they are charging interest on money that has come out of their pockets ad currently 27m in debt. No one companed when MP came in – it goes wrong and its someone else’s fault. I give up mate. Let em do what they wanna do. Don’t care frankly

          • First it’s the team at fault, then Pellegrini, then the board, then Moyes who hasn’t played a game yet. I don#;t wanna be rude but really. Noone wanted to leave the Boleyn but it’s over and we can’t go back so what’s the answer: Let’s make sure the board know we hate them. Great idea – gets us all so much further forward.

  • Hammerkip says:

I don’t think we can be to harsh if we don’t get a result he like any manager needs a bit of time I’m just hoping we work hard and show we are up for it then hopefully the results will come ..
