Reading the signs on social media and through reports, it does look as though the situation is going to be resolved today: What Ham’s succession is going to be completed and Graham Potter will be installed as West Ham’s new head coach on a 2.5 year deal. Yes there will be break clauses rather than ‘options’ – (alluding to minimum standards or levels of performance required in order to continue) which have not yet been made public.

Jacob Steinberg from the Guardian on Twitter / x confirms what we all believe: Expecting Lopetegui to be sacked by West Ham this morning. Agreement said to be in place with Potter to take over #whufc”

Julen Lopetegui will be ‘released’ today from his duties – As mentioned earlier West Ham have cancelled the FA Cup PR news conference set for later today, and it looks as if they will officially unveil Graham Potter tomorrow (Thursday), once the loose ends have been tidied up today. Quite who will be taking training this morning is not yet clear as I write this but it is widely reported that the Spaniard and his coaching team will be departing the club today.

Once we receive confirmation we will pass it on, along with further details on coaching and backroom appointments to join Graham Potter’s staff at Rush Green.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.

I hope that Noble / Keen / Robson and all the academy coaches are on standby alert as it seems highly unlikely that Potter will be able to do much before Friday night.
