Tomkins: Irons confident of getting City result

|

Tomkins2James Tomkins has revealed that the Irons players are “quite confident” they can go to Manchester City at the weekend and get a result.

Describing the team’s start to the season as “weird” he made it clear there was absolutely no fear in the squad about meeting City at the moment.

The big central defender – who has also performed well at right back during the start of the campaign said: “We are confident – given the way we are playing – that we can get a result. I think there are bundles of goals in the team.”

Two big results away at Arsenal and Liverpool has produced a belief  in the squad which that they can get that their counter-attacking game can find out the league leaders.

Tomkins said  the squad were “loving” Dimitri Payet at the moment adding: “He’s frightening at times and Victor Moses is still keen to prove himself which I think he did at Stoke last season..

During a talkSPORT broadcast he said: “He (Moses) can change games at times and Dimi just wants to take defenders on and beat them. We see him every day in training and he’s frightening to be fair.”

Confidence is like a twelth man!!
I fancy our chances if we cut out the silly mistakes at the back !!!!!
I don’t think city will bomb forward in droves, they will be wary of the counter
attack and the 2 results away at the goons and the scouse git’s !!!!!!
We have a good chance of a result and if we score first then its game on !!
Also its the first time in a long time that I’m confident ?
We got nothing to lose !!!!!!
No one expects us to get a result !!!!

    Make that 2 of us,
We are good enough now to take the game to any team, let them worry about us we have nothing to lose,
No one except Hammer fans expect us to win so throw caution to the wind and give it a go

So it’s ok to have a pop at Harry (who I’m not a fan of) for bland ‘stories’ yet here we are with our weekly comment by a player saying they are ‘confident of a result’.

    That’s hardly news is it?

So articles shouldnt be presented on a West Ham site about players & their thoughts before a match??.Redknapp left us years ago,he is making a living spouting junk most the time, being contradictory & saying whatever suits him at the time.He is a parody of the comical ex-player or manager pundit we are engulfed by these days,a quote a min merchant.
