Top pundit gives his Irons/Blades forecast

|

Mark Lawrenson is clearly something of a David Moyes fan.

Since the 56 year old returned to the club Lawro appears to be upgrading our chances of success and reckons we are on for a result at Bramall Lane tonight (Fri).

He could easily be right because the Blades appear to be a slightly better team are a better team away than they are at home where so far this season they have recorded four defeats and a couple of draws along with the four wins.

And although Lawrenson concedes this is a much bigger test for the Irons than the games against Bournemouth and Gillingham we are taking a new confidence into the match which could see us come out with a result.

With six goals in the bank from two games without conceding (such a change) the BBC pundit reckons we are on for a point this evening in a match which will define exactly how far we have come.

Lawro says: “New West Ham boss David Moyes has two wins out of two so far, but after beating Bournemouth and Gillingham, this is a much bigger test.

Sheffield United beat AFC Fylde in the FA Cup last time out but they have lost their past two Premier League games, although they did face Manchester City and Liverpool and were very competitive in both.

I am going to go for a draw here, and I actually think it would be a decent result for both teams.”

Lawro’s prediction: 1-1
