Total respect as Noble remembers a young fan

|

Mark Noble proved himself different class on the pitch last night and pure quality at the end when a made a young fan’s night.

Our captain made a young man very, very happy at the end of the 90 minutes in which he turned the game along with Michail Antonio.

But despite clearly being on a huge high,  he found the time to remember a young Hammers fan who is seen in the video below dissolving into his father’s arms after the captain had made a special journey across the pitch to ensure he had a night to remember.

Dad Stephen Whorlow to will never forget the brilliant act of kindness enacted by Mark as he donated his shirt to a boy who made him his hero several years back.

Nobes clearly has a big heart as demonstrated when he recently went out to work among the homeless of the east end helping at food banks and at charities on the sharp end of the streets problems.

But last night it was all about one young man whose Dad Stephen tweeted: @Noble16Mark you’re my son’s idol, you have been for many years. We come from Glasgow 2 or 3 times a year and have done since he was tiny as the boy is West Ham. Thank you for giving him your shirt, you have made him one of the happiest kids around. Thank you sir!. COYI

Total respect Mark – what a top bloke!

Yes top bloke sums it up. I saw an interview with him recently. Most players just want to talk about themselves. He emphasised the importance of all the behind the scenes staff at the club & named names. Just as he did at his testimonial game. I have supported the club over 60 years & my legends are Bobby Moore & Bonzo. Noble is not in their class as a player but as a man he is up there with them. He understands what this club is about in a way few of the fans, let alone the players, do. He has never let the club down in any way off the pitch & has always given all he had on it.

Him and Antonio definitely had a huge effect on the game, it might be in the future his role will be as an impact sub when we need someone to get the ball down and pass it, if we could have a Noble that was more athletic with better vision that would be the perfect replacement, we certainly miss a battler in midfield when he isn’t playing.
