Tottenham’s transfer list is bad news for West Ham

|

Tottenham Hotspur are reported to be keen on buying Wast Ham’s Moroccan defender Nayef Aguerd at the end of the season. Their interest in the central defender is believed to date back three years and they plan to submit a bid irrespective of the Hammers Premier League status at the end of the season.

The report is from French publication Jeunes Footeux, who say that the North London club are likely to have to combat interest in Aguerd from Manchester United and Liverpool.

Aguerd has mostly been in excellent form for West Ham since returning from an injury sustained in the pre-season friendly match against Glasgow Rangers. The pacy defender was excellent in Sundays games against Premier League relegation rivals Southampton and scored his first goal for the club.

Spurs are also believed to hold an interest in West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen. Losing one player to our London rivals would be tough to accept but a double raid is unthinkable.

Tottenham can go whistle if they want Aguerd. We have him on a long contract. Same as Arsenal can go whistle if they want Paqueta. Two excellent Moyes signings. I love watching them play. Hope they’re with us for years to come.

It’s quite simply though to be fair. The spuds don’t deal with us so don’t deal with them.

We surely won’t be selling good signings at all, and definitely not to Spuds. Might just as well start a rumour that we want Harry Kane.
