BBC pundit Jermaine Jenas went into rave mode on Match of the Day 2 last night declaring West Ham’s three forward players – Arnie, Yarmo and Anderson as “quite unplayable” at times.
Jenas is developing into the next Gary Lineker (but better) and was clearly overwhelmed by the Irons performance at Goodison Park.
He said: “They were unplayable at times and I was thinking: ‘They have too much quality for Everton.’
Showing a clip of Anderson ghosting around players and running at angles and in tight circles he declared: “Look how he is holding things up for his support to arrive. The defenders can’t get to him. It’s real quality and he is a top player.”
He added: Arnautovic simply goes from strength to strength and Yarmolenko was outstanding; then they had runners coming from deep – it was a really good performance to watch..
“They are three really really good players but I think Anderson is the one – he’s going to the thorn – it was great.”
I would add Antonio to this trio-if he can stay fit and if someone can teach him the ‘art of finishing’, there could be sparks and lightning up front!
So typical that Arnautovich gets himself injured just as we show signs of life. A knee too….. Fingers crossed massively. Especially with Chicharito ill & Lucas in a sulk.
I actually am really interested to see AC playing alongside Anderson and Yarmo, if he can stick to the middle of the field these two players have the quality to create a lot of chances for him.
