Valencia’s Monday morning appointment

|

Valencia scoresEnner Valencia faces a visit to a specialist consultant on Monday on the injuries to his knee and ankle sustained during the clash with FC Astra on Thursday evening.

The news came in an official statement from the club after they revealed that the striker has “sustained what initially appears to be a significant injury to his right knee and right ankle.”

The club added in a statement: “The Ecuador forward will see a specialist consultant at a clinic in central London on Monday morning and an update will be provided following that meeting.”

And although the club said it’s too early to put a timescale on the length of time he will be out, sources told ClaretandHgh: “Although it’s hard to assess knee injuries we believe it will be around six months.

The match was Valencia’s first for West Ham since returning from the Copa America competition.
