Video: Matchday Vlog

Firstly I’m going to have to apologise for the slightly inebriated nature of my day but sometimes a celebration is in order and yesterday was just one of those occasions.

As you will see the build-up to the game found us hammers fans in humorous mood following what had been a very difficult week. In many ways we are at our best in adversity and there was certainly a coming together by all concerned. There is no doubt that the Dimitri Payet shenanigans galvanised the team and the fans and the net result was our finest win at the London Stadium.

As you’ll hear on the video the crowd were in fantastic voice and the chorus of ‘Super Slaven Bilic’ was certainly the loudest I’ve heard the new ground. The fans reaction after the Andy Carroll bicycle kick in particular will stay with me for a very long time.

I had a bit of a thick head this morning after sharing three bottles of red wine last night and my Sky Plus didn’t record the Sunday Supplement for some unknown reason – I feel quite chirpy now!

Like you say “it takes all sorts”. Thank god they ain’t all as miserable as you. Show a bit of enthusiasm, but most of all PRIDE in our 2nd half showing. I’m still buzzing. Must be a much better feeling than being miserable and bitter all the time. COYI X

My comment was more about the Stadium than the game, I agree it was a brilliant second half, the best so far this Season.

I can’t get enthusiastc about the Stadium – I’m in the East Stand and from the Concourse you can see the masses of scaffolding that makes up the ‘retractable seating’ – it just seems to be a massive ‘lash up’ as far as I can see.

Having said that, the view from my seat is fine, I just don’t get taken in by all this ‘London Stadium Experience’ guff!

Loads of folk have that view Michael. Some can’t afford a better view. Because they are proper Hammers they still go. Can’t believe that is all you thought about that video. Did you not have a lump in your throat or any pride in our supporters? I think you are a little bit sad old fella. COYI X

Get in there! what a result for the hammers! for Bilic! and for all that support! Keep up the good work Gonzo ;]
    COYI!!

  • Michael Miller says:

I think your view is rotten, you’re miles from the pitch on an angle with a view of all the scaffolding and empty space that is wrong with the Olympic Stadium – I suppose it takes all sorts!
