A prominent supporter has suggested that West Ham players could benefit from a hypnotherapist working on them.
West Ham way radio host Dave Walker suggested on his Phoenix FM radio show on Wednesday evening that the players could benefit from hypnosis sessions to snap them out of their current lack of confidence on the pitch.
The idea might not as barmy as it first sounds as a number of football teams have called in hypnotists in the past.
Two years ago a Mexican team called in hypnotherapist Luis Guillen to help them get through a run of bad form, they released a video of the session at the club’s training ground which saw Jaguares de Chiapas player Christian Bermudez being put under his spell then seconds after Bermudez was ‘woken up’ and went on to score a David Beckham esque free-kick.
In the club footage Mr Guillen, speaking in Spanish says: “Let your unconscious mind relax more and more and your body will simply release itself in a second.”
West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini often talks about instilling a winning mentality so maybe a hypnotherapist could help the players believe again.
Derren Brown, what are you waiting for? Get down to Rush Green as soon as possible! 😉
Stupid,stupid,stupid.
Why does CandH run with these kind of stories
Not April 1st is it?
Last thing we want is somebody inducing deep sleep into our defence. Hang on, perhaps this has already happened…
Fabulous, at last we can hope the owners are set sell the club.
Oh, wait. Wasn’t it for the owners?
