West Ham United defender Jean-Clair Todibo is close to leaving the club, according to the latest update from ExWHUEmployee.

As Claret & Hugh has been reporting for some time, the Frenchman is surplus to requirements at West Ham and it is something of an open secret that he is available for transfer.

Another Sign The End Is Near

Yesterday, during a behind-closed-doors friendly against Colchester, Todibo did not feature at all, despite West Ham fielding separate starting XIs in each half to give as many players as possible valuable match fitness.

Ordinarily, a player on his way out missing a training game would not raise too many eyebrows.

However, the likes of Niclas Füllkrug, Maxwel Cornet and James Ward-Prowse all featured despite also being available for transfer.

That only reinforced the feeling that Todibo’s future lies away from the London Stadium.

Permanent Deal Still Preferred

Now ExWHUEmployee is reporting that a deal for the defender to leave the club is close.

As Claret & Hugh revealed earlier today, there have been loan offers for the player.

Having spoken to Todibo’s UK representative, we were informed that the West Ham hierarchy are holding out for a permanent transfer rather than accepting any of the loan proposals currently on the table.

Therefore, if there has been fresh movement, one can only assume either a loan with an obligation to buy has been agreed, or a permanent transfer has edged closer.

Claret & Hugh will attempt to speak to somebody from the player’s side later today to see whether we can bring you a further update.

But one thing appears beyond doubt.

There is simply no way back at West Ham for the central defender who arrived from Nice in a deal worth around €35 million.

You make me laugh mate. don’t you think Nuno has better things 2 worry about other than trying 2 get a player play 4 us when he doesn’t want 2.

It’s pretty obvious he’s not happy with the ”PAY-CUT” after relegation so wants 2 move on mate. C O Y I’s

Shame, obviously a talent but ultimately you can’t have much sympathy for players that are paid a fortune, even after relegation, but are not prepared to fight for their place.

On a different note, anyone know why Magassa was not playing, is he injured or possibly on the move like Todibo?

Rather have him at the club than Nuno. Many players have been difficult to handle, but proper manager’s are able to do that.

Arrogant and self centred, the sooner he goes the better. He seems to have had similar ‘falling out’ with management problems everywhere he’s been and, sadly, he is in danger of completely wasting his undoubted talent.
