West Ham Eye Young Dutch Striker

|

West Ham United are reportedly keeping tabs on Toulouse’s young forward Thijs Dallinga as a potential summer transfer target, according to sources close to GIVEMESPORT.

Toulouse’s Dutch forward Thijs Dallinga – a player of much potential

Why Dallinga?

West Ham has a history of successful signings from Ligue 1, with players like Zouma, Areola, Cornet, Paqueta, Emerson, and Aguerd all having French league experience. Dallinga fits this profile.

In fact, the Hammers have an excellent relationship with Toulouse, having signed Issa Diop from them.

Dallinga’s performances have caught the eye of West Ham scouts, making him a player worthy of consideration. And with 16 goals in 38 appearances this season, he ranks highly among Ligue 1 scorers, trailing only established stars like Aubameyang, Lacazette, Mbappe, and David.

It is not all plain sailing though, as Brentford might reignite their pursuit, especially with their success in signing Ligue 1 players like Mbeumo and Wissa. It also appears that Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, and Fulham have also shown interest in the Dutch international.

With Kudus and Bowen as attacking mainstays, Dallinga would likely compete with Antonio a starting spot upfront although his does lack the same physicality. He could potentially challenge Cornet for the left-wing position and given Antonio and Danny Ings’ age, West Ham might prioritise a young striker like Dallinga for a long-term solution.

Well over the last two seasons WH have apparently kept eyes on dozens of strikers, but with Moyes at the helm nothing happens .
