West Ham Fans Fume Over Kalvin Phillips’ Social Media Activity

|

West Ham United loanee Kalvin Phillips’ already troubled time at the club seems to be going from bad to worse. Following a disastrous 5-2 defeat to Crystal Palace, Phillips’ social media activity has further angered the West Ham faithful.

After the match, Crystal Palace‘s Ebere Eze shared a highlight reel of his performance on Instagram. To the dismay of West Ham fans, Phillips “liked” the post. This action is seen as a sign of disrespect towards his own team, especially considering the crushing defeat.

Former West Ham striker Frank McAvennie recently suggested that Phillips’ loan spell might be nearing its end due to his lacklustre performances and disregard for the fans. The social media incident seems to be fueling these sentiments.

Phillips’ struggles began with a debut error that gifted a goal to the opposition. Subsequent mistakes led to him being dropped from the starting lineup. His recent substitute appearance against Palace failed to make a positive impact.

The financial burden of Phillips’ loan, including his high wages, adds insult to injury for West Ham fans. They quite rightly feel they haven’t received a return on their investment, and Phillips’ social media activity only exacerbates their frustration.

With Phillips seemingly checked out mentally,it is safe to assume that all parties involved are likely eager for the loan spell to conclude.

Moyes stubbornly sticks by this bloke who is doing nothing but harm to WHU, yet he won’t give Cornet a sniff. Show Phillips the door now, and taxi for Moyes end of season please.
