West Ham racehorse looks for festive win

|

West Ham horse CotteeMcAvenniGoal is back in action this boxing day.

The horse has been trained in Ireland by Shane Crawley

Simon approached his two favourite Hammers, Macca and Tony Cottee with the help of Claret and Hugh last year who immediately gave him permission to use their names and were delighted to be asked.

The horse runs at Leopardstown this Saturday in the 12.30 pm race

CotteeMcAvenniGoal only other previous race was at Huntingdon on 23rd November last year in which he was placed 5th out of seven horses.

He was backed into 9/2  by eager West Ham fans,  he had a poor start but made a good recovery and finished well.

West Ham fan owner Simon told Claret and Hugh “We are just starting out and he needs experience but I expect him to run and jump well and run on at the end.

He is unlikely to win on Sunday but is not to say he won’t be winning races in three or four races time when he is battle-hardened”
