Sources close to the club have revealed the id of a foul mouthed fan who racially abused Mo Salah is part of the evidence passed by West Ham to the Metropolitan Police who are responsible for deciding if and what charges are brought against him.
The individual who has not been named will also face a life ban from West Ham if found to be the person responsible for the verbal abuse.
An official club statement says: “After a thorough and immediate investigation following the abhorrent racist abuse aimed at Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah on Monday night, West Ham United can confirm that it has handed evidence to the Metropolitan Police. The Club is unequivocal in its stance – such abuse will not be tolerated. There is no place or excuse for this kind of behaviour.”
Twenty-two year-old London Liverpool fan Sádat Yazdani who was in the West Ham end block 154 posted the video of the alleged abuse on social media saying that: ‘I was disgusted by what I was hearing. People like this deserve no place in our society let alone football matches.’
That video quickly went viral on social media bringing worldwide condemnation and later today we learned from a source close to the Irons that it was now believed the individual had been identified.

Can someone just remind me of how many knife attacks and other criminal offences are committed in London, and supposidly our Police Force are at the same time crying out for more numbers, and then go and waste their resources on an ‘ offences’ such as this???
