West Ham in three way transfer twist

West Ham in three way transfer chain

According to reports in Italy, West Ham have begun closely monitoring Torino talent Raoul Bellanova. The 23-year-old versatile defender joined the Granata from Cagliari last summer after a year on loan with Inter, sealing the move to Turin in a deal worth around €7m. He swiftly became a regular starter under Ivan Juric.

Bellanova has made 25 appearances in the Italian top flight, scoring once and providing five assists from the right wing-back position.

However, in a bizarre twist, Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka is rumoured to be on the move to West Ham, with Bellanova potentially heading to Old Trafford instead of the London Stadium.

Wan-Bissaka’s time at Old Trafford since his £50 million move from Crystal Palace in 2019 hasn’t gone well to put it mildly. There were hopes that he would secure the right-back position, but injuries and a lack of progress in his attacking game have hindered his development. Now, with just one year remaining on his contract, Man Utd executives are looking to offload the right-back.

This would come as music to the ears of Hammers manager David Moyes. The Irons gaffer has wanted the former Palace man for two years so watch this space.

Remember the striker En-Nesyri? West Ham tried to sign him months ago. News from Spain via the site Marca point to the fact that he has one year left in his contract with Sevilla. He has scored 13 goals this season and Sevilla seems to be considering selling him by the summer if they can get a reasonable price. Offers starting at 20 million Euros would be considered. Not a bad option to study. Or somebody else will get him. And he is only 26.
