Hammer Declan Rice starts tonight for England after overcoming his ankle injury and recent illness, it means he is now likely to start next weekend against Newcastle in the first game of the 2020/2021 Premer League season.

Issa Diop who has been suffering from a calf injury and mystery illness also returned to action, playing the full ninety minutes in today’s 5-3 Betway Cup loss.

Robert Snodgrass also got more minutes on the pitch after recovering from his back problem, he got 16 minutes on the pitch against Brentford last weekend and got another 8 minutes today ass he pushes for match fitness.

Michail Antonio recovered from a knock he suffered against Brentford last weekend to play 63 minutes today.

Manuel Lanzini was substituted as a precaution today but early indications are it is not serious.

The news will leave a fully fit side for David Moyes to choose from next Saturday.

The only exception could be Tomas Soucek who is self-isolating at the moment after coming into direct contact with the Czech Republic national team masseur who tested positive for COVID.
