West Ham Kick Umbro Into Touch as New Shirt Deal Emerges

West Ham United have confirmed they will part ways with Umbro and sign a long-term deal with New Balance from the 2026-27 season onwards.

The club’s commercial team has been through a rigorous tender process, and their decision to shun Castore in favour of New Balance marks a major shift in the Hammers’ branding. The news, confirmed to Claret & Hugh, has already sparked a flood of concept kits across social media, with fans turning to AI to imagine the future look of the Irons.

The new deal is understood to run for five seasons and will bring an end to West Ham’s association with Umbro, who have supplied kits since the 2015-16 season. The current Umbro contract expires at the end of the 2025-26 campaign.

Whilst some have never been too smitten with Umbro’s designs, I have personally liked some of the away kits. Last seasons white away kit was one of my favourites as was the 19/20 away shirt. In recent years and this seasons home shirt is only spoilt by the green QuickBooks logo on the sleeve.

I guess we’ll all have to hold our breath to see what New balance come up with but it could be worse . . . It could be a Macron.

Just hope that New Order can get the colours right. No all blacks or all indigos. Let it all be designed as football kit and not casual wear worn by a football team. Oh and make sure that all the socks are long socks tied at the knee and without the need to be torn at the calfs.

Lol have to say I agree with the socks cut at the calfs, wtf, but I wouldn’t be worrying about the kit, unless there is serious money put in too strengthen the first team, the players that will be wearing the kit will be no good anyway,at the minute long gone is the team from 3 years ago

NB shocking gone with a cheaper sponsor well i wont be buying any kit with that on it i wounder why no other team is sponsored by it because its crap

More room on the collar needed. Embarrassing how our players have to rip the shirt for comfort.
Feel sorry for any of our larger fans as well.

Just as long as their designers don’t forget that our colours are claret AND sky blue, I don’t care if NB get the gig. There were some kits in the past that were mostly claret and white – with hardly a hint of sky blue. 1985-87, 1991-93, 2009-10, and 2018-19 are those that spring to mind.

New Balance eh ? Should be a lovely looking kit for the Championship
