West Ham Learn Transfer Terms as Emergency Signing Lined-Up

Not content with the signing of Soungoutou Magassa—scheduled to fly in for a medical today—West Ham appear to be pushing ahead with several more midfield reinforcements.

The squad’s deficiencies have been brutally exposed in the opening three games of the season, with Graham Potter’s midfield looking painfully slow and off the pace. As a result, the Hammers could now move for as many as three central players before the window shuts.

One of those targets is Nottingham Forest’s Ibrahim Sangaré, who looks to be in addition to Magassa rather than instead of him. The 27-year-old Ivorian has featured under Nuno Espírito Santo this season but could still be available for the right deal.

Forest could be persuaded to let Sangare leave

Forest are believed to want to recoup some of the £30 million they paid PSV for his services last year. That means any loan deal would almost certainly need to include an obligation to buy, giving West Ham the option of delaying the bulk of the payment until next season.

However, the Irons would also need to protect themselves with a relegation release clause, nullifying the purchase should the worst happen and Premier League survival not be secured.

With the transfer window ticking down, Potter’s midfield rebuild looks to be getting some much needed urgency. Whether it’s too late to save the manager his job remains to be seen.

Sangaré is better than what we have a loan with options could be good. Hayden Hackney at Boro looks like sort of player we should be pushing for and am not sure why we aren’t buying Idrissa Gueye upfront we need speed up there, Bowen is great but not rapid. Fullkrug is a target man and Wilson has lost a yard of pace.

It is baffling me that we were virtually unbeaten with Potts in midfield yet Potter isn’t playing him ? I can only imagine Potter is trying to get sacked with his midfield choices.

Pay Potter off and hire Glasner before it’s too late.

We are working so slowly on transfers
    Time is running out
I am not sure if Sterling is the answer
    Please do not sell Soucek

As far as Bowen goes, get behind him for god sake
It show he was hurting and cares about this club
To take his arm band off was a very sad thing to see
Whatever that fan said to him fine, but if you get a reaction you have to be able to take it back from Bowen
I do not know what was said, and don’t really want to know, just want to focus on the team and let’s get behind them.
If you go to the games get behind them or it is no point
They do much want to win for us fans
    Come on you Irons ⚒️⚒️

The most incompetent football club known to man, a last minute scattergun approach will probably mean any players arriving now are not up to scratch.
Had all Summer for Christ’s sake – Billy Smarts eat your heart out !
It’s finally caught up with the Circus Ringmaster, Sullivan – need a miracle to stay up 👎

I have my doubts about this one due to his age and limited sell on value. If we are serious about him then it would indicate that the penny has finally dropped with the directors and they are very worried about relegation.

Don’t think he’s the answer bad injury record need to reconsider in my opinion otherwise we will be left with him picking up wages sitting in the treatment room .

    • Honest Hammer says:

In 3 years he’s missed as many games as Bowen. It was a bout of Malaria after Afcon that floored him. But he avges 3 tackles a game and 6 ball wins. That would make a difference.

Is this method of last minute signings a cunning plan or a complete balls up? I sort of think the latter but I’m no business man.
