West Ham led the way with Ray Wilkins tribute

West Ham’s away army of 3,000 supporters at Stamford Bridge led the way for the tributes to Ray Wilkins at Stamford Bridge. Hammers in the away end were first to join in the applause for the 61-year-old before the official one-minute tribute began at kick off and joined in again at the eight-minute mark to show their respect.

It was also West Ham fans that initiated the song ”There’s only one Ray Wilkins’ at Stamford Bridge with home fans soon joining in.

The act of solidarity went down well with Chelsea fans on social media who showed their appreciation of West Ham fans support.

Fair play to West Ham fans, didn’t expect anything else from them. R.I.P Ray
