West Ham look to make important leap frog

|

West Ham now have a real chance of leap frogging Chelsea after the Stamford Bridge outfit lost 4-1 loss to Manchester United.

Chelsea meet Newcastle United this Sunday for the last game of their season and a 1-0 loss for the West London side could be enough for West Ham to jump over them.

West Ham need a 2-0 win over Leicester City to be level on points and goal difference at which point the goals scored tie breaker comes in.

West Ham have scored 41 goals this season so far with Chelsea scoring 37.

Should it happen Chelsea will be the lowest London team his season and means the Irons can finished a high as 12th with £2.1m per place in bonuses.

West Ham currently sit in 14th place behind Wolves who play Arsenal this weekend.

Bournemouth are on 39 points in 15th spot and could also overtake West Ham but only of they win and the Hammers don’t.
