West Ham are attempting to sign Inter Milan midfielder Joao Mario on loan claims Jason Burt in the Telegraph today.
Burt says talks are on-going, with an agreement understood to have been reached between the two clubs over a proposed deal. However, he says the Portugal international is weighing up the move with sources close to the player suggesting he may have “a number of options” to consider and is asking for time before deciding what to do.
Inter are keen to loan out Joao Mario, who cost them more than €45 million (£39.8m) from Sporting Lisbon – in what was the biggest ever transfer by a Portuguese club – but he has grown frustrated at his lack of playing time.
Joao Mario featured for Portugal during their Euro 2016 triumph and made a move from Sporting to Inter, ahead of a host of other clubs, that summer. The attacking midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United in the past.
according to sky sports news he as said no
Another loan!
G & S wheres the money gone?
Apparently we are not “at the next level “😁 and not in European football so you can count this move out , so he feels just like us fans ? Promises not delivered again 😁
Ask him again at the end of the window when he still isn’t playing for inter and missing out on a World Cup place.
Not the player we need. Slow and not motivated enough. Since winning the Euro against many odds, Portuguese players seem to think they are better than what they actually are. Let’s not waste time on this one please.
Hears he said No but then after that saying still considering & would def be short term but would add some creativity.
I’d rather go permanent for James Maddison but w our board if we could get him on koan to help out until summer bc if Lanzini is injured or play as CM he would help add with & creativity wouldn’t be upset if he came
Sky Italia(?) are reporting he doesn’t want to join West Ham. Clearly there are more attractive offers available to him so lets move on. Only in the dark world of the dildos does anyone believe a top quality player will join us on loan this January. If they’re that good, they will have a host of offers before them and truth be told, what is the attraction of joining a team sat a few points above the relegation zone and where rumours are rife that the good players all want out?
We have to get real and set our sites at a level appropriate to our current position. And owners!
