West Ham transfer news & gossip round-up

Silly season is almost upon us again with The Hammers rumoured to be doing everything from splashing the cash to only getting one player on loan. Tim Steidten has once again been dispatched to find players for the club. It is believed the Hammers director of football has been tasked with finding home grown players as a priority.

To save to the trouble of pouring over all the tittle tattle, here is all you need to know from the past 24 hours.

  • West Ham United have set their sights on Serhou Guirassy, with the player likely to choose his next destination based on the wages offered. The 27-year-old is the second-highest goal scorer in the Bundesliga this season.
  • Manchester City’s Kalvin Phillips (oh yes him again) is set to leave the club, as confirmed by manager Pep Guardiola. Phillips is considering offers from Tottenham, West Ham, and Newcastle, with his decision pending.
  • West Ham have expressed interest in Kyle Walker Peters. Additionally, the club is keen on acquiring striker Danny Ings, and there is a possibility of a swap deal involving on-loan Hammer Flynn Downes.
  • In January, West Ham plan to continue efforts to sell Pablo Fornals despite his new deal and increased game time under Moyes.
  • Former Hammer and Sunderland star Pierre Ekwah, is drawing attention from several Premier League clubs, including Fulham, Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest, and West Ham. The Hammers would receive 30% of any transfer fee for Ekwah, having previously sold him to Sunderland.
