There’s been much talk of Craig Dawson returning to West Ham, but it’s being reported that the Hammers are actually eyeing a different Wolverhampton Wanderers defender.
Whilst Dawson became a cult hero among Hammers fans, it’s important to remember that he moved to the Midlands for family reasons. It’s highly unlikely that his situation has changed enough for him to relocate back to London, making this transfer highly improbable.
However, West Ham are seriously considering signing Dawson’s teammate Max Kilman as a replacement for Nayef Aguerd. Wolves are in a precarious financial position and need to offload at least one player before they can spend in the transfer window.
Wolves’ captain has drawn significant interest over recent months, with Manchester United recently tipped to sign Kilman this summer. Despite not delivering consistent clean sheets this season, the defender has shown potential, and his struggles may make Wolves willing to let him go for the right price.
West Ham have shown interest in the 26-year-old multiple times over the years, and in January, Kilman was reportedly their ‘top target.’ With Julen Lopetegui set to join the Hammers, this interest could soon lead to a concrete offer.
Under Lopetegui’s guidance at Wolves, Kilman stood out, with the club’s defence playing a significant role in avoiding relegation. Lopetegui believes that a summer move could help reignite Kilman’s form and has instructed West Ham to sign him.
This is utter garbage regarding us being in a precarious financial position, listen to the express and star podcast The Keen & Judah show were Keen says the club DO NOT have to sell for financial reasons, try getting your facts right typical cockney ********.
Touch a nerve did we? Guess its the claret and blue that gets your blood boiling seeing as the only team in your area worth a light wear the same colours…calm down now and dont be mad at your players when they move to bigger clubs.
Typical West Ham fan. Absolutely deluded as usual.
ooooOOOoooohhhh…. Look out! He’s got a handbag!!! 👛
Wolves have mags rich owners Fosun are worth 130 billion quid and do not need to sell
West Ham bunged then Mayor Boris Johnson for there stadium at mega low price per year one day this will come out
Having “mega rich owners” means SFA now. If you’re spending more than your income you’re likely to come under scrutiny.
Wolves may be short of money but they play in their own ground and dont need to accept charity. As for “big teams in the area when will West Ham be winning the league then?
We play in our “own stadium”. West Ham have an iron clad 99 year lease that isn’t being revoked anytime soon. Man City don’t “own” their ground either.
The word “lease” means you don,t own it and will have to give it back.
It’s getting worse than a comic book….who is the admin ???? Its seriously rubbish wat gets put on here
It’s just banter get a life
Must be a Landonar know wat i mean.
We do need to sell a gem or two, so we can go into next season with a proper squad rather than relying on academy players to fill the bench. Wouldn’t be too upset if Kilman went; he’s great on the ball but slow on the turn.
Just getting a buyer for Fabio would help.
Poorly researched article full of inaccuracies. By the way – good luck with Stroppy Loppy! 🤣
Yeah, give him 6 months before JL realises that the porn industry will not fund his transfers.
Don’t know what’s worse, Gonzo pretending to know the transfer plans of Manuel from Barcelona or these peaky blinder clowns.
So we are looking at transforming an ageing squad and we are linked with Zaha 31, Joselu 34, and Dawson again at 34. If that’s transforming an ageing squad I’d hate to see who else we get linked with.
Like most “click bait”, usually made up in the pub……….However, Wolves will sell this summer, as some players need to move on and the squad needs strengthening.
Most Wolves fans would accept Kilman moving on for circa £40 million. As one area we need reinforcements is in defence to support the excellent Dawson and benefit from his leadership and guidance.
