What Pelle said…Gonzo tells you what he meant

|

Gotta hand it to our partner Gonzo!

He comes up with some great ideas and in his latest video he has been reading between the lines of what Manuel Pellegrini had to say at his press conference with the added restriction of having to watch a club recording.

This – as he explains – is because he is having to base his views on other people’s questions given he isn’t allowed into these grand occasions. 🙂

Truth is however he does a better job than most of those present who could quite comfortably have followed up with some “is this really what you mean?” questions even bearing in mind that the managers of clubs are always attended by media ‘security guards.’

Not that Pelle needs any in reality – he is more than capable of putting his points across gently and may well be pleased that such as Gonzo  to cut through to the real points being made.

Well worth a watch as Gonzo looks at questions on:

  • Noble and Antonio
  • Roberto
  • Pochetinno’s sacking
  • His and Mourinho’s relationship
  • the run or results
  • and much more

Don’t get above yourself . Gonzo . You make good presentations and video chats that’s for sure . People respond , as I am doing right now . Your heart & soul is unquestionably West Ham United . But please be careful you don’t persuade fans down the wrong path . Your opinions are valuable , as are just any fan . Some of us have been fans & supporters far longer than you . In fact a lifetime . You can’t just appear as a fan with little experience of West Hams true history without having lived it . Nice pod casts but out of context with what West Ham United is really all about . I wonder if you really Know ( or anybody knows ) the West Ham way . We have tried for donkeys years to play fluent attractive football but that hasn’t bought us any success . It’s all well and good trying but we are no further forward now than when we should have marched on in the middle 60’s ., not that you would remember that of course being so young . Maybe stories from your childhood , naturally .
We have always been a poor club financially even stretching back to when we played in East Ham by the Docks . History shows we are East Ham , by the way ,,, check it out .
Please don’t tell me again about how I or anybody else should be supporting this Great Club . Pelligrini is a complete 100% failure . He should be sacked ASAP .
In my Honest Opinion we need to go down again and rebuild with a young manager .
Yes , I know that hurts , but the move out of Upton Park as nothing to do with our current problem … we were never ever any great shakes at the Boleyn either … just also rans the same as today 60 years later . Untill we get the financial backing that Saved Man Utd all those years ago ( which the football league backed ) and that the bigger clubs enjoy today we will never be challenging for honours . The odd cup success just doesn’t cut it . Manager after manager have failed to understand the people . WE LOVE OUR DAY OUT AT WEMBLY

    • Which is the wrong path – his, yours, mine? Above himself? You obviously don’t know the man. Your comments are unacceptable when you start trying to put age etc above passion and knowledge. I have been here for 57 years and what he has to say and his different way of saying it is better than a million moans and patronising forum entries

I think you’ve got the wrong end of the stick Kevin.

Firstly I’ve never told anybody how to support West Ham. Where the comment “Please don’t tell me again about how I or anybody else should be supporting this Great Club” came from I don’t know.

Secondly you’ve completely missed the jovial nature of the video and taken it out of context and far too seriously.

Thirdly . . . . as someone who grew up in East London during the 70’s, as an archivist and historian of the blitz and as the Grandson of a docker I’m slightly confused. Your suggestion that I’m somehow ‘wet behind the ears’ and ignorant of what being a Hammer means is mildly conceding to say the least.

    • Don’t ever send a piece like this again. Pretty ashamed of that. Makes older people look like a bunch of know all peasants. Just don’t do it here.

Has anybody considered Noble for the job ?? . He would get my backing all day long if he was offered it and accepted it . We need West Ham United blood in that dressing room , not some foreign person that can’t communicate properly in our “ West Ham way “ or understand the feelings of the people deep down . Only two ( maybe three ) [ Lyall , Greenwood & Redknapp ] managers have succeeded in that respect but as always it’s a financial thing . We seem to have tried to rush things when it should never have really happened . History is great in retrospect but it’s nevertheless true .
It’s high time to put IRON in the bloodstream . We are suffering from a lack of iron . Time to ram those old Boats & Steam Trains into the system . : Noble for me . No need to look elsewhere .
