WHUFC Official takes pop at Lawrenson

Well, he finally got one right and on the law of averages he had to at some stage.

But not before the official West Ham account had decided to take a pop at the seemingly anti West Ham pundit Mark Lawrenson.

It really is a bit off the wall for any official club Twitter account to get involved in slanging matches but prior to yesterday’s 2-0 defeat against Watford the boys and girls who tweet for the Irons made their feelings known.

The tweet declared: LAWRO: @BBCSport ‘football expert’ Mark Lawrenson has excelled with his and @WatfordFC predictions so far…

Until yesterday the former Liverpool player had predicted six defeats for the Hammers and of course been proved wrong on every occasion.

As ClaretandHugh blogger Scott Alsweiler commented on the site’s FB page at “If I was as good at my job as that I’d be unemployed.”
