Wilshere breaks down again in training

|

Jack Wilshere has broken down again in training suffering from further pain in his groin the manager has revealed.

Giving an injury update in his Crystal Palace pre-match press conference from Rush Green on Monday Pellegrini told reporter ‘Jack Wilshere continues with some pain in his groin so he is not working with the squad’

At the end of November, the manager had told the media that the 27-year-old had returned to training and was hoped to be fit around the festive period. It is the latest blow for the club and the manager who showed so much faith in the player they signed on a three-year contract on £100,000 per week in July 2018.

In September 2018 Wilshere suffered an ankle injury keeping him out for 77 days followed by ankle surgery in December last year keeping him out for a further 124 days.

His latest groin injury which started in October this year has already kept him out for 69 days.

Wilshere has made just sixteen appearances in all competitions for West Ham since joining from Arsenal 18 months ago.

Not sure why everyone is surprised.
I don’t know of one Arsenal or West Ham supporter who could believe we signed him.
Even my friend at work who goes to Bournemouth said his legs had gone.
The person in charge of Medical’s should be sacked, along with the fool that signed him.

And no club would consider buying him in his current state of perpetual injury and complete lack of match fitness should he ever recover . We’re stuck with him .

  • Tony Pezzolesi says:

Why is anyone falling for this “Jack is injured” rubbish? There is nothing wrong with him. He is being wrapped in cotton wool in readiness to be sold in January; probably to the MLS

  • Kenny Irons says:

He’s finished – has been for years, but the West Ham Royal Infirmary decided to pay him 100k a week for 3 years to sit on his a**e – you couldn’t make it up.

  • Michael Miller says:

It’s difficult to understand this interest from MLS Teams that’s been reported, it just doesn’t make sense!

The decision to give him a three-year deal is also hard to understand, given his history it shows very poor judgement!

But over and above all that you’ve got to feel very sorry for Jack himself, so much talent and so much promise but cruelly cut short by the failings of his body – a terrible shame!

What is it with us that we never learn? We’re like my Labour party always shooting themselves in the foot. First made wrong brother leader Miliband then chose corbyn . We let allardyce get in Carroll then we repeat the same mistake with Wilshire unbelievable, you couldn’t make it up. Answer now either he retires and we get the insurance or he does the right thing and we pay him a small compensation and leaves .
