Wilshere will block emotion out

|

Jack Wilshere will head for Arsenal on Saturday claiming he has a point to to prove.

But firstly he has to clear his head of all the memories of his time growing up in the place.

He told the Hammers matchday programme for Saturday: “I’ve got to try and block all the emotion out.

“First of all, I’ve got to concentrate on football and I quite fancy our chances. I obviously know them really well.

“They’ve got a new manager, but I know the players, so hopefully it’ll be a good time to play them.

“It’ll be a strange one for me as I was never able to go there and play when I went out on loan as you can play against your parent club, but it’s one I’m looking forward to.

“It’s down to me to show that Arsenal were wrong to get rid of me.”

Going on his last 2 performances he’ll be fortunate to keep his place in the team.

I think Wilshere needs to keep it quiet for a while as I am getting pretty fed up of hearing this and that from him. If I was him I would let his football do the talking. If I was manager I would drop him for the next game. He has been awful. I don’t believe we will start playing well until he is out of the team -he is totally ineffective and cannot defend.

I’d drop him too. Not just the woeful performances but more I can easily see him trying to prove a point and getting himself sent off.

He’s probably fed up hearing the same old mantra from you. For Gods sake give the team and the manager some time. Very few expected us to hit the ground running and we knew it could take some games to get used to each other and the tactics. Calling for players to be dropped and managers sacked at this stage of the season is infantile and defeatist. Patience is a virtue. I’m not saying we should wait forever but common sense calls for a bedding in period. Such knee jerk reactions are unnecessary and unwanted. COYI.

Sorry if a player is not performing, he should not be in the team. He has no excuse as he has played in the PL. Trust I saw him in preseason too, terrible signing and one seriously overrated player.

Think you’ll find that if we drop all the players that are under-performing we will struggle to field a team.

Westham fans these days are so fickle its unbelievable. Its been two games, and is back to doom and gloom. Wiltshire didint do that bad at all he actually made some decent passes. If anything it was noble who should be dropped, he was poor the second half, and for me and everyone sitting next to me could clearly see he was the weakest link.

But I wont go and join the doom and gloomers yet, even if we loose next week. As I for one understand that it takes time, especially when we have made such drastic changes.
