Premier League protocols do not require the West Ham United squad to self-isolate when individual players or coaches test positive so the match against Wolves appears to be safe this weekend.
David Moyes, Issa Diop and Josh Cullen will all need to self isolate for 10 days while members of their immediate household will need to self-isolate for 14 days.
All other squad players and coaches tested negative.
All players and staff will continue to be tested every week and Rush Green is likely to undergo a deep clean.
Earlier today Leyton Orient announced that eighteen of their squad had tested positive which led to the postponement of the cup tie against Spurs.
West Ham’s game was not called off as it involved far fewer players testing positive and it was felt it could continue.
Hull City turned down the offer from West Ham to test their players, a decision they may soon regret.
Manchester City were not required to self-isolate after some of their players tested positive and the rules are very stringent.
There is no reason at this stage to believe West Ham’s game against Wolves on Sunday won’t go ahead unless the majority of the squad test positive like Orient.
