Yarmolenko injury is recurring

|

Ukrainian media are claiming that Andriy Yarmolenko picked up an achilles injury on International duty and were somewhat surprised he was cleared to play against Spurs on Saturday at the London Stadium.

The report claims during the last match for the national Ukraine team Yarmolenko received a painful blow to the achilles. They also claim the 28-year-old went through all the necessary medical checks and procedures saying that his right foot was again tested for strength in a late fitness test before deciding to include him.

West Ham has been mute on the injury so far with Pellegrini saying on Saturday he preferred to wait for a scan on Sunday before saying more.

Yarmolenko spent two months on the sidelines after picking up an Achilles problem in January while Germany. It was one of the main reasons behind his failed stint with the German giants Borussia Dortmund.
