Zaba lays the law down

|

zaba2Honest Pablo Zabaleta has told the West Ham squad: We need to improve in every way.”

The 32 year old returns to the team after suspension this weekend and knows that things simply cannot go on as they have been over the first part of the first part of the season.

And reflecting on the new management’s training regime over the past few days the Argentine right back said: “Trainings been pretty good. We’ve been working really well over the past few days.”

“Of course, it’s going to be a tough game but we have a good squad – we need to work well and be focused on our next game.”

“If you look at the performances this season – especially against the top sides – we need to improve in every way – offensively, defensively and we need to be a more creative team, we need to try and not concede too many goals – we need to step up.”

And he added: “It is time to be positive and look forward to the season. There’s a long way to go and everything depends on us which is good.”

This guy should be captain, I hadn’t thought about it before but with a new manager I wonder if he may make a change ?

This group of players have been getting away with murder and seem to have been absolved of all responsibility for the dreadful start to the season. Ok, so Slav has been soft on them and lacked a bit of discipline but where is the player’s sense of responsibility and personal and professional pride?
Surely they’re aware of the stats which allegedly show them up as the least industrious in the Premier League? When they’ve been breathing out of their backsides with 15 mins to go in a game, they must have realised that their fitness levels are way below what’s required. Do they really need someone to tell them to stay behind for an extra hours training and put things right, they’re not schoolkids ffs. Maybe Moyes will kick enough arses to get this lot performing somewhere near the level they’re getting seriously well paid to achieve. COYI

Agree 32, Zaba for skipper, at least he appears to be one of the few to be putting it all in on the pitch.

What and push captain slows nose out of joint ! Not going to happen 32. ? Until someone at the club grows a pair expect noble and Carroll to carry on as normal ! If Moyes can’t see it then expect no change , that may be his Achilles heal ! Let’s see what happens over the next few weeks to have a clearer view of what is either progress or more of the same , I think his
hands are tied this week not having everybody in training but next week is a different ball game , I want to see if sakho is a issue or not ! Level playing field and all that ? He should be first choice on form but will Carroll get the nod because he’s a demigod lol? ☺

Let’s see boys I have a gut feeling hope it’s right, one of the best ways to shake things up to change the captain 😄

Not going to happen mate !! He needs moving on to make a statement !! But that won’t happen neither ! Moyes needs to get a grip but won’t be allowed to IMO ! As you say let’s see😉
