Simone Zaza’s father who is also his agent has told Corriere dello Sport that his son’s time at West Ham is over and that he would be very happy with a move to Valencia:
Antonio Zaza told the Italian paper: “The adventure of Simone at West Ham is finished and we are considering different situations for his future. We deal with Valencia, but it is not the only concrete situation we are considering. Clearly my son would love to be coached by a great coach that is Cesare Prandelli.”
West Ham paid €5m to take Zaza on loan from the Serie A champions Juventus, with the deal automatically becoming a long-term one, at a cost of a further €20m, if he made 14 appearances for the club this season. Having made 11 in all competitions so far and failed to score, West Ham have decided to cut their losses by getting him off the wage bill.
