Kurt Zouma has to be considered an unlikely starter for the Hammers in their match of the season encounter with Lyon in Thursday evening.
Hopes that he had little more than twisted or sprained ankle have been blown apart with the news that his ankle is very badly bruised after he went through a scan earlier today.
Such was the situation with Jarrod Bowen when it was thought he had no more than bruising which would quickly sort itself out Zouma, like him, will have another scan tomorrow and we are told he will also see an “expert.”
The club are understandably angry at the scissor tackle which inflicted the damage on our central defender and we are told he is currently nwearing a protective boot and is on crutches.
Whilst it’s not entirely impossible he will miss the game it seems hugely unlikely and the position seems to be that he will be forced to join suspended on the sidelines.
