David Moyes to prioritise training over rugby

|

West Ham manager David Moyes will not be attending the England rugby team training Q&A session in Bagshot today as reported in the Guardian last night.

A report in the broadsheet claimed “Eddie Jones and his England assistants will pick the brains of one of Scotland’s highest-profile football coaches by welcoming David Moyes behind enemy lines on Tuesday in preparation for the Calcutta Cup match on Saturday. Moyes, the West Ham manager, along with his assistant Stuart Pearce, the former Spurs striker Les Ferdinand and the former England Women’s and current Brighton coach, Hope Powell, will all attend training at Bagshot before sitting down for a Q&A session four days before Jones takes his side to Murrayfield.”

However, a source close to the club told Claret and Hugh this morning that the invite, unfortunately, clashed with West Ham’s training schedule which is his main priority. The source said it could possibly be rearranged in the future if it does not clash with first-team training.
