Irons on ‘Greeno’ return rumour!

|

Greeno_1459132aWest Ham have revealed they have no plans to bring former favourite Robert Green back to Upton Park.

Speculation that the club have been ready to move in on the 35 year old has been around for some time but the Irons ruled out the possibility exclusively to ClaretandHugh.

The former England keeper Green, 35 spent six years with us before moving across London in 2012 and has always been held in high affection by the fans at the Boleyn.

It had been rumoured the £50k a week stopper was seen as perfect cover for Adrian and the Spaniard’s sending sending off against Leicester has set to grapevine buzzing again today.

However, when ClaretandHugh put the question to our highest placed insider we were told categorically: “There’s absolutely no situation of that kind in our minds. The answer in one word is “no””

Shame…because Darren Randolph actually scares me…worst keeper I’ve seen in a long LONG while

From what I have seen of him so far I am the same, looks like another McKnightmare. It is early days as people have said but he will be starting for the next 3 games…

I don’t quite get why people are being so negative about Darren Randolph. He’s actually a pretty similar keeper to Green some ways. Okay his handling wasn’t great on his debut against Lusitans, but that was his debut. There is nothing wrong with his shot stopping

The Club obviously rated Darren Randolph before signing him as cover for Adrian and, as much as I’d love to see Rob Green back with the
Hammers, I think Darren should be given a chance to prove himself. Hopefully, he’ll turn out to be a safe pair of hands.

Randolph is a strange one. Many people seem to have little faith in him,but one of my buddies who is a season ticket holder at St.Andrews said he was a really good keeper for them.He told me we had a really good back-up keeper.Guess we will find out one way or the other, lol

It’s become the daily routine,a player such as Yilaz is all but signed as quoted by Metro,
A club insider says no way,
Rob Green is very close to signing quote Mirror insider no way,
Huddleston swap with Alfitano advanced talks Sun no such thing insider,
Now I just wait for official news
Randolph is cheap and cost nada Green £50k per week plus transfer, you work it out unless we swap say Jarvis not going to happen, and if Adrien had not got sent off this would not be such hot subject

I think the club need to deny this ludicrous story very loudly. We’re supposed to have a certain amount left in the pot and we’re going to blow it all on a back up keeper? I liked Green but he’s in the past,we have Randolph now and I assume there’s a reason why we signed him but it won’t do his confidence any good if he thinks the club are already looking elsewhere. All those looking at his mistake preseason should remember Adrian wasn’t exactly stunning and indeed I’ve seen comments saying he should be replaced too, which was utter boll@cks. Neither of them are Allen McKnight so stop panicking.
