Moyes targets looking PL bound

Moyes target Tom Cairney gets close to the West Ham boss while watching the Chelsea/Hammers game but promotion for Fulham could push the midfielder a long way away!

West Ham are keeping the most careful of eyes on Aston Villa and Fulham’s  progress knowing there’s every chance they could miss out on their various transfer targets at the Championship clubs.

With Villa having secured a play off place via a 1-0 win over Leeds United last night, the Hammers hopes of signing loan goalkeeper Sam Johnstone perhaps faded a little although they remain keen on the Manchester United stopper.

Fulham – currently in second place – play Brentford at Craven Cottage this evening, a match where both Hammers targets defender Ryan Fredericks and Tom Cairney are set to be involved.

David Moyes has scouted both players regularly this season and will probably be hoping that the Cottagers fail in their bid for a Premier League return.

Cairney has a £25 million price tag on his shoulders and is known to want PL football at all costs next season and with a long term contract in his pocket that looks likely to be at Fulham if the Londoners go up.
