Young Swedish striker impresses Hammers

|

West Ham hasalp taken 16-year-old striker Alexander Alp on trial for a week.

The Swedish youngster plays for AIK in his home country, but after impressing Hammers scouts he has been handed a chance to impress the Premier League outfit with a view to earning a contract with the Irons.

Alp is highly-rated in his native Sweden and has represented the Stockholm district at various youth competitions for the country’s elite youngsters.

Alp only recently turned 16 but has already played for AIK at Under-21 level. He has done enough in his handful of appearances to attract interest from the Hammers, whose Under-18s are managed by former Hammer Steve Potts.

His agent Patrick Mork posted on twitter “16 year old Swedish striker Alexander Alp having training with West Ham this week. Alp normally plays for AIK’

Looks big for a 16 year old, if we sign him will be interesting to see what he can do.

Touching the crossbar? Getting the box with the training bibs off the top of the cabinet?
