36 games Iron man Soucek says: Bring ’em on

|

Tomas Soucek has probably become a fans hero as quickly as any player in the club’s history.

The brilliant Czech has appeared in every game for the club this season and is the major rival to Declan Rice in the race for Hammer of the Year.

And with some sort of European qualification on the table for the Hammers he is desperately keen to end the season with a massive flourish.

And although there will always be those who look at tonight’s game and immediately put it down as an away banker, the  defensive midfielder is not among them.

Three points tonight – or against the Saints on Sunday – will be enough to land us a place in the European Championship competition although t here’s the remotest of chances we could make the Europa League.

Either way it’s a massive improvement on last season and Soucek is truly among the reasons why along with team mate Vlad  Coufal.

And talking on www.whufc.com the midfielder said: ““Yes, I watched this game against Liverpool and I saw they had the determination to win because they are still playing in the Premier League.

They have fans coming to the stadium as well so I think it will be a hard game, similar as against Liverpool. But we need three points and need to score from the first chance.

The last few games we conceded first and it is very hard to win these games when you have conceded first so we need to be prepared for the chances to score.”

Of his non stop appearances for the Irons this term he added: “I’m not tired, because this is my dream from my childhood that I wanted to play in the Champions League or Premier League.

So, I am here now and enjoying this playing on the field. So I would like, if it’s possible, next season to the play in the Europa or Champions League as well as the Premier League and play (even) more games, if this is possible. I don’t feel tired, I enjoying my playing.”

I think most everyone who has pulled a shirt on this
Season deserves praise as do the manger and coaches
Disappointed we did not have enough for the champions league but should we qualify for the other competition it
may prove to be more our level
My main wish is to do at least as well next season
