Moyes deal will follow Hammers regular routine

|

West Ham remain likely to offer David Moyes a two year contract rather the the three currently being reported.

The two sides are a long way down the road to agreeing a new deal and the manager has made it clear he is ready to put pen to paper at the end of the season.

However, the club will stick with the two year deal they have offered in the past to managers having learned their lesson from bitter experience.

They were forced to make pay outs to both Slaven Bilic and Manuel Pellegrini after being fired following optimistic first seasons in charge.

So it’s likely the club will insert a severance clause within the deal which Moyes has clearly earned after a great first season in charge under the present circumstances.

The two sides will finalise things once the season comes to an end on Sunday and before the manager heads off for a well deserved summer break.
