Barcelona striker deal in doubt

|

Reports that Martin Braithwaite is currently in advanced discussions with West Ham over a €15 million (£12.75m) move appear to be wide of the mark.

A report in Spain by Sport.ES  claims the two clubs are practically in agreement over the terms of the transfer but warned Braithwaite is yet to agree on personal terms with the Premier League side.

The report goes on to say that although Braithwaite is not currently satisfied with the salary being offered by the’ Hammers’, it is understood that a deal is close adding if they up their offer, the Danish striker would join.

With a contract until 2024, Barçelona is looking to offload the 30-year old striker who is desperate to get minutes on the pitch this season.

Club sources laughed when the Spanish report was put on them so we think we can safely ignore any deal is close as claimed with any interest also very doubtful.

Its a joke, if true Moyes has been feeding us trollop for the last few years.

  • Selsdonhammer says:

In all seriousness, this rumour has always seemed far-fetched. File under Bardsley, Phil Jones & Oxlade-Chamberlain (hopefully).

  • G J Parker says:

We do not need these types of signings this would be on a par with Mido or Benni McCarthy. For once please sign a proper forward who scores goals something we have lacked for many years and why we always struggle.

He is crap, no way we will sign him. Even on a free transfer he wouldn’t be worth it.

  • Bob says:

Sean’s given this a ‘low’ on the transfer rumour rater – just as he did for the Areola deal.

Expect this bloke to sign in the next few days

    No , just no

Won’t this ugly rumour ever go away ? He is not good enough for Dagenham & Redbridge, let alone for us. There must, therefore, be a big chance that we will sign him !

  • Phil McDonald says:

Thank goodness. This would be a signing based on price rather than quality. It lacks all ambition unless it is as back up to a marquee striker signing. Can’t spread the butter too thin when it comes to strikers. Quality over quantity or we don’t move forwaed.

  • Dang says:

    Don’t think he will sign

  • PAUL GARNER says:

PLEASE DO NOT SIGN THIS RUBBISH
IF THERE IS A GOD HE WILL NOT BRING THIS MAN TO US

  • Childish says:

Jesus what a joke ,and what a complete and utter waste of time and energy..linked ,,not linked ,,linked ,not, linked …watching ,talking, more watching ,,,didnt we have this a few days ago about Braithwaite…what is the point..ffs

  • Johnad says:

Please no…. I don’t care if he played for Barćalona, he isn’t good enough for us & won’t be getting any better at 30 yrs old.
A Sullivan signing, cheap & headlines sounds good.
    ‘West Ham sign Barćelona striker’
